Shanghai Songjiang Vibration Absorber Group Co., Ltd. official website introduces information on what to do if spring vibration isolators are flattened after installation on dry-type transformers. Resin-cast dry-type power transformers installed with spring vibration isolators unexpectedly flattened the isolators. How can this situation be resolved?
In a certain commercial complex project, excessive noise from a 35kV commercial transformer required vibration reduction. Specialized transformer vibration isolators were selected, but after installation, an unforeseen issue arose: the cover of the spring vibration isolators was directly pressed against the base, rendering the springs ineffective. What caused this? On-site personnel suspected that the isolators lacked sufficient load-bearing capacity, so they doubled the number of spring vibration isolators. However, the isolators were still flattened. Why did this happen despite the increased number of isolators? When our factory’s technician examined the situation, they were puzzled. It turned out that the adjustment bolts in the middle of the spring vibration isolators had not been adjusted. In such cases, adjusting the adjustment bolts of the spring vibration isolators is necessary. However, the installation instructions were not consulted on-site, leading to this situation.
Before installation, adjust the height of the vibration isolators uniformly. Then, use a jack to lift the main transformer and place it into the vibration isolators. Ensure that the vibration isolators are evenly distributed; otherwise, it may result in the main transformer being unlevel and greatly reduce the vibration isolation effectiveness. After installation, use a ruler to measure the spacing between the cover and the base of each vibration isolator. If the spacing is inconsistent, readjustment is necessary.
After the installation of vibration isolators, it is important to measure the height of the spring positions of each isolator with a ruler. If the heights are inconsistent, further adjustment is required. Inconsistent heights indicate varying spring forces, which can affect the vibration isolation effectiveness.
Therefore, it is advisable to carefully read the product installation instructions before installation in the future to avoid inconvenience for the personnel installing the vibration isolators.
