Shanghai Songjiang Vibrtion Absorber introduces to you: [Vulcanization Workshop] Whether the quality of rubber expansion joints is good or not, it all depends on the production workshop. Songjiang Group invested 120 million in 2017 to build the “Annual Output of 1.2 Million Shock Absorbers Project” in Nantong, striving to create a high-quality rubber expansion joint production factory. Below is an introduction to the vulcanization workshop. Today, we will take you to visit our factory’s production workshop.
When we arrived at the vulcanization workshop of Songjiang Group’s Nantong factory, we could see neatly arranged rubber joint molds on the mold racks. It truly is a powerful production factory, with so many molds for rubber expansion joints, including single sphere, double sphere, reducing, clamp, elbow, shock absorber, air spring, and more.
According to the head of the vulcanization workshop, our factory differs from other rubber expansion joint factories in that we have four sets of molds. One set is for Songjiang-branded molds, another set is for new molds, one set is unmarked, and one set is for ANSI standard molds. We mainly use Songjiang molds to produce products for applications with non-corrosive media below 80 degrees Celsius. The new molds are used to produce products for special media, such as those resistant to acids, alkalis, high temperatures, and oils, up to 25kg. We also provide OEM production for many valve factories, using a set of unmarked molds specifically for these customers who require branding. The ANSI standard molds are dedicated to producing products for export orders.
We don’t simply use one set of molds to produce various products for customers, but rather use multiple molds to meet different customer needs. This approach helps us differentiate our products and avoid the risk of counterfeit products in the market, which could deceive consumers and pose safety hazards.
After inspecting the mold area, let’s take a look at the vulcanization area. The vulcanization workers are busy producing rubber expansion joints, some of which have just come out of the oven with rough edges yet to be trimmed. At this stage, the products are relatively clear, and the ones bearing the Shanghai Songjiang Vibration Absorber Group Co., Ltd. logo are clearly visible. This confirms what was mentioned earlier about the distinction in the mold area. Investing in so many molds is indeed a significant expense, but it serves the purpose of clear differentiation.
The head of vulcanization informed us that a new batch of fully automated vulcanization machines has been installed in the Nantong factory. These machines can automatically complete all actions, replacing manual mold opening, closing, and inflation work, saving a significant amount of labor. Additionally, these machines are equipped with a computer that can record the production process of each mold. This computer can fully record the vulcanization process data for each mold, including vulcanization temperature, time, pressure for each mold, and inner membrane inflation pressure. The perfect recording of these data plays an important role in tracking and checking the product process and quality control. Furthermore, every modification made to the equipment’s internal data is recorded by the computer and cannot be deleted. This ensures that there is no need to worry about the vulcanization workshop not following the vulcanization process requirements. These automatic vulcanization machines are not only new types of equipment that reduce labor but also excellent assistants for quality control. With them, how could there be any issues with the quality of rubber expansion joints?
