1. Introduction to the World-Class Terminal Beijing New Airport Concourse Project:

The new airport terminal was completed in July 2019, with a roof height of 50 meters and a cost of 63.9 billion yuan. Beijing New Airport is located between Yufa Town, Lixian Town in Daxing District, and Guangyang District in Langfang City, Hebei Province. In December 2012, the State Council and [censored] officially approved the project proposal for the new airport. On December 15, 2014, the [censored] approved the construction of Beijing New Airport, with a construction period of 5 years and planned operation in 2019. The new airport will have 4 runways, a 700,000 square meter terminal, and corresponding facilities for cargo, air traffic control, aviation fuel, and municipal support. Local [censored] will also build comprehensive transportation projects such as highways, intercity railways, and airport express trains.

The Beijing Subway New Airport Line started construction in 2015 and is expected to be put into operation in 2019, synchronizing with Beijing New Airport. The New Airport Line starts from the North Terminal of the new airport, passes through Caoqiao, with a total length of 43 kilometers and 3 stations. It connects with the existing Line 10 and the planned Line 19 at Caoqiao Station. The subway’s New Airport Line is designed to have a maximum speed of 160 kilometers per hour, becoming the fastest subway line in Beijing.

Considering that the airport will have one of the world’s largest passenger capacities, the radial layout can significantly reduce the distance passengers travel between different boarding gates during transfers. At the same time, it minimizes the distance for passengers from the aircraft to ground transportation or rail transportation.

The initial phase of the Beijing New Airport project is designed for a target throughput of 72 million passengers, 2 million tons of cargo and mail throughput, and 620,000 aircraft movements by 2025. The long-term plan includes 7 runways and a passenger throughput of 100 million. The total investment in the airport project is 79.98 billion yuan, with capital accounting for 46% of the total investment.
