1.Introduction to Tianshengqiao Hydropower Station Project:
Tianshengqiao Hydropower Station is located on the Lei Gong Tan section of the Nanpan River at the junction of Yuanxiangbo Township and Yacha Town in Longlin Various Nationalities Autonomous County, Guangxi, and Dewo Town in Anlong County, Guizhou. It consists of a two-stage hydropower station built in phases and constructed continuously. The total installed capacity is 2.52 million kilowatts, with an annual average power generation of 13.445 billion kilowatt-hours. It is a first-tier power station with an installed capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts and an annual power generation of 5.2 billion kilowatt-hours. The second-tier power station has an installed capacity of 1.32 million kilowatts and an annual power generation of 5.05 billion kilowatt-hours. The first unit began operation in 1992.
The design of the first-tier Tianshengqiao station includes a dam height of 180 meters, a total storage capacity of 10.8 billion cubic meters, an installed capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts, and an annual average power generation of 5.245 billion kilowatt-hours. Kunming Survey and Design Research Institute undertook the survey and design work in June 1982, completed the dam selection report in December of the same year, finished the feasibility study report in May 1984, and completed the preliminary design report in September 1986, which was approved by the former Ministry of Water Resources. After consulting and evaluating the project design, HAZAMA Company from the United States, a consulting engineering team from Brazil, and a special consulting team for the project gave full affirmation and positive evaluations. The project was approved in 1991, and the diversion tunnel construction began in June of the same year. The diversion was achieved by the end of 1994, reservoir impoundment was completed by the end of 1997, and the first unit was grid-connected and started generating power by the end of 1998.
The second-tier power station’s river-blocking dam is located downstream of Tianshengqiao Canyon, with a river channel length of 14.5 kilometers and a drop of 181 meters. The first 220,000-kilowatt unit of Tianshengqiao Hydropower Station was completed and put into operation in January 1993, and by the end of 2000, all ten units of the first and second-tier power stations were completed and put into operation. Tianshengqiao Hydropower Station was jointly funded by the national government and the provinces of Guangdong, Guangxi, and Guizhou. China Southern Power Grid Company represented the owner and managed the construction.
The left bank of the dam site belongs to Anlong County, Guizhou, and the right bank belongs to Longlin County, Guangxi. It is approximately 90 kilometers upstream from the Rubuge Hydropower Station on the Huangni River, a tributary of the Nanpan River, and 7 kilometers downstream from the Tianshengqiao II Hydropower Station. The straight-line distance from the power station to Guiyang City in the northeast is 240 kilometers, and it is 250 kilometers west of Kunming City. Tianshengqiao I Hydropower Station focuses on power generation with an installed capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts, a guaranteed output of 405,200 kilowatts, and an annual average power generation of 5.226 billion kilowatt-hours. After the completion of the power station, it can also increase the guaranteed output of downstream Tianshengqiao II, Yantan, and Dahua hydropower stations by 888,900 kilowatts, increasing the annual power generation by 4.077 billion kilowatt-hours. The reservoir area submerged 4,539 hectares of farmland, and 44,300 people were relocated. The project officially started in April 1991, the diversion tunnel opened on December 25, 1994, and the first unit started generating power in December 1998.
The watershed above the dam site covers an area of 50,139 square kilometers, with an average annual runoff of 19.3 billion cubic meters at the dam site and an average flow of 612 cubic meters per second. The average annual sediment transport of suspended solids is 15.78 million tons, and bed load transport is 700,000 tons. The main project is designed for a flood with a return period of 1,000 years, corresponding to a flow rate of 20,900 cubic meters per second, a reservoir water level of 782.87 meters, and a corresponding discharge flow of 15,282 cubic meters per second. According to the check for the possible maximum flood, the inflow rate is 28,500 cubic meters per second, the corresponding reservoir water level is 789.86 meters, and the corresponding downstream discharge flow is 21,750 cubic meters per second. The reservoir is a mountainous canyon-type reservoir with a normal storage level of 780 meters, a dead water level of 731 meters, a total storage capacity of 10.257 billion cubic meters, and an effective storage capacity of 5.8 billion cubic meters, with incomplete multi-year regulation capabilities. The maximum working head of the power station is 143 meters, the minimum working head is 83 meters, and the design head is 126.65 meters. The dam is located on rock formations composed of limestone, sandstone, mudstone, and marl. The seismic intensity in the dam area is 6 degrees, with a design intensity of 7 degrees.

3.Introduction to the Use of DN100 Stainless Steel Flange Rubber Joints in the Guizhou Tianshengqiao Hydropower Station Project:
The construction of the hydropower station requires the use of DN100 stainless steel flange rubber joints, with the flange made of stainless steel 304 and the rubber utilizing high-pressure wire-reinforced rubber joints.
Songjiang Group’s rubber joints are primarily employed in pipelines to reduce vibration, lower noise, provide good flexibility, and ensure convenient usage. Single-ball rubber joints, also known as single-ball rubber flexible joints, single-ball flexible joints, vibration isolators, pipeline shock absorbers, and shock-absorbing throats, are a type of high-elasticity, high air tightness, medium-resistant, weather-resistant, and radiation-resistant pipe joint. This product leverages the advantages of rubber, including elasticity, high air tightness, resistance to media, weather, and radiation. It is created by combining high-strength, cold and heat-stable polyester canvas with it, and then subjected to high-pressure, high-temperature molding and vulcanization. The single-ball rubber joint consists of fabric-reinforced rubber components and a flat rotary joint. It is a high-elasticity, high air tightness, medium-resistant, and weather-resistant pipe joint.
