1.Introduction to Zhuhai Power Plant:

Zhuhai Power Plant is located in Lin’gang Industrial Zone, Nanshui Town, Jinwan District, Zhuhai City. It is 50 kilometers east of Zhuhai City. The plant covers an area of 1.15 million square meters. Zhuhai Power Plant is a large-scale coal-fired power plant built through Sino-foreign cooperation. It is a key project of the national ‘Ninth Five-Year Plan.’ The project plans to install six 600MW-class units. In the first phase, two 700MW coal-fired units were constructed, and the main equipment was imported. The boilers and turbines were supplied by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of Japan, and the generators were supplied by Westinghouse Electric Corporation of the United States. The total investment in the first phase of the project was 9.98 billion RMB. The feasibility study report for the first phase was approved by the State Council in September 1995.

Guangzhou-Zhuhai Power Generation Co., Ltd. is a joint venture between Guangdong Yuedian Group Co., Ltd. and Zhuhai Economic and Technological Development Group (Group) Co., Ltd. As a joint investment, it forms Guangdong Zhuhai Power Plant Co., Ltd. The company is responsible for the construction and operation of two 700MW coal-fired power units, with a total actual investment of 9.98 billion RMB, of which the Chinese side holds a 55% stake. The cooperation period for the project is twenty-three years and nine months. After the expiration of the cooperation period, all assets of Guangdong Zhuhai Power Plant Co., Ltd. will be transferred to Zhuhai Economic and Technological Development Group Co., Ltd. free of charge.

2.Introduction to Power Plant Desulfurization System:

The limestone/lime-gypsum method is the most mature, widely used, and operationally stable technology, with a desulfurization efficiency of over 95%. The limestone/lime-gypsum wet method is the most widely used desulfurization method for units of 300MW and above. In large thermal power plants around the world (such as Germany, Japan, etc.), over 90% use the wet limestone/lime-gypsum method for flue gas desulfurization. The limestone/lime method is the most widely used FGD process in the world. It can achieve a desulfurization rate of over 90% for high-sulfur coal and over 95% for low-sulfur coal.

4. Introduction to Rubber Joints in Zhuhai Power Plant Desulfurization System:

Rubber joints can significantly reduce the vibration and noise of the pipeline system and fundamentally solve various problems such as interface displacement, axial expansion, and different center degrees.

The desulfurization system uses material from Japan, Mitsubishi 4045 EPDM rubber, with a content of 50%, no recycled rubber components, and excellent resistance to lime slurry. It also has properties of acid resistance, alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, and heat resistance.

The material is polar rubber with good sealing, light weight, convenient installation and maintenance, and a long service life. However, avoid contact with sharp metal tools to prevent puncturing the ball.

If used overhead, elastic supports can be provided, and bolts should be tightened diagonally during installation.

All rubber joints with a diameter above DN350 in our factory are standard with limit pull rods for added safety.

The flange connection standard adopts the GB/T9119-2000 standard.
