1.Introduction to Ningbo Zhenhai Power Plant Project:
Zhejiang Zhenhai Power Generation Co., Ltd. (referred to as Zhen Power Company), formerly known as Zhenhai Power Plant, was transformed into a limited liability company on January 1, 2000, in accordance with modern enterprise requirements. On March 1, 2003, it was placed under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Energy Group Co., Ltd.
The original Zhenhai Power Plant project was a key construction project approved by the State Planning Commission and the Ministry of Water Resources and Electric Power during the “Sixth Five-Year Plan” and “Seventh Five-Year Plan” periods. The entire project broke ground in March 1977, with the first 125MW unit commissioned by the end of 1978. By June 1990, all six steam turbine generator sets had been completed and put into operation, with a total installed capacity of 1050MW, making it the first million-kilowatt large-scale thermal power plant in Zhejiang Province. It is also one of the main power plants in the East China Power Grid and is classified as a large-scale enterprise at the national level.
Zhen Power Company is located in Zhenhai District of Ningbo City on the coast of the East China Sea, with the Yong River to the south, Ningzhen Highway to the north, and 15 kilometers west of downtown Ningbo. Across the river is the modern Oriental Port of Beilun Port. Its geographical location is excellent, with convenient land and sea transportation, making it a shining pearl on the coast of the East China Sea.
On September 19 and 22, 2003, the original #1 and #2 fuel oil units were respectively decommissioned. By the end of 2003, the “Asia’s First Explosion” dismantled the two original 125MW fuel oil turbine generator units. In their place, high-tech, peak-shifting, environmentally friendly 2×350MW gas and steam combined cycle generating units, utilizing natural gas from the East China Sea gas field, were constructed.
With the historical process of market economy development, Zhenhai Power Plant has highlighted economic efficiency as the core, strengthened internal management, relied on technological progress, pursued connotative development and outward expansion, continuously deepened enterprise reform, and actively created favorable conditions for the enterprise to compete in the electricity market.
