1. Introduction to the Chongqing Conch Cement Project:
The Chongqing Conch Cement Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Anhui Conch Cement Company Limited established in Chongqing on July 2, 2008. The cement production plant of the company is located in Wuyang Town, Zhong County, Chongqing, on the south side of the city; the mine is located in Baoshan Village, Shizi Township, Zhong County, Chongqing; the company’s dedicated wharf and cement grinding station are located in Xiafengjialin, north of the plant area on the right bank of the Yangtze River. In response to the call for the development of the western region, support for the reconstruction of earthquake-stricken areas, and targeted assistance, and to fulfill the social responsibility of large state-owned enterprises, Conch Group invested 7 billion yuan to build large-scale cement clinker production bases in Zhong County, Chongqing, Dazhou, Sichuan, Guangyuan, and other places. Among them, Chongqing Conch Cement Co., Ltd. is located in Zhong County, a central city in Chongqing, close to the Yangtze River, rich in mineral resources, and convenient transportation.
The first production line of Chongqing Conch started construction on December 22, 2008, with the clinker line system ignited on June 29, 2010, and officially put into operation on July 3, 2010. The first cement mill was successfully put into operation on August 4, 2010. The second production line started construction in December 2009, and the clinker line was ignited and put into operation on April 6, 2011. The first waste heat power generation system was connected to the grid on January 1, 2011, and the Chongqing Conch 18,000 kW waste heat generator set boiler was successfully connected to the grid on September 30, 2011.
The Chongqing Conch project is currently the largest investment, most economically beneficial, and most employment-generating industrial project in Zhong County. In 2010, the total output value of the company was 230 million yuan, with a tax revenue of 9.39 million yuan. 90% of the personnel of the company are recruited locally. After the completion and operation of the entire project, it will directly provide employment for 1,800 local residents and indirectly employ nearly 6,000 people. During the construction and operation of the project, it has rapidly promoted industries such as transportation and catering services, playing a positive role in promoting the local economy of Zhong County.
The Conch Cement production process headquarters adopts world-leading new dry rotary kiln decomposition technology. After the project is completed, the entire production process will be dust-free, noise-free, and free of wastewater discharge. After the entire project is put into operation, it will not only “digest” more than 10 million tons of fly ash, phosphogypsum, and tailings slag annually but also recover waste heat for power generation using only pure low-temperature waste gas emitted from the cement kiln head and tail, without consuming other fuels or generating pollution during the power generation process.
