The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Nanjing University is one of the earliest-established chemistry faculties in China. It was founded in 1920 and originated from the merger of the Chemistry Department of Central University and the Chemistry Department of Jinling University, officially becoming the Chemistry Department of Nanjing University.
