1. Introduction to Mongolia Oyu Tolgoi Gold Copper Mine Project:

The Oyu Tolgoi Gold Copper Mine is located in Khanbogd County, South Gobi Province, Mongolia, less than 100 kilometers from the Chinese border. It is considered one of the world’s largest gold-copper mines, with a copper belt area equivalent to the size of the Ulaanbaatar city area. The mine has a preliminary estimated copper reserve of 31.1 million tons, gold reserve of 1,328 tons, and silver reserve of 7,600 tons. The mine started production in July 2013, with an expected operational life of 50 years. Oyu Tolgoi Gold Copper Mine is commonly referred to as “OT Mine” to distinguish it from the nearby Tavan Tolgoi Coal Mine (TT Mine). The mine, adjacent to the Chinese border, is 66% owned by Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd., a subsidiary of Rio Tinto, with the remaining stake owned by the Mongolian government. The open-pit mining at Oyu Tolgoi has commenced production.

Turquoise Hill reported $1.6 billion in revenue from the sale of 733,700 tons of concentrate from the mine in 2014. Underground mining is planned to begin within two years. It is projected that by 2020, Oyu Tolgoi’s copper and gold production will contribute to one-third of Mongolia’s economic output. Covering 80 square kilometers (30 square miles), Oyu Tolgoi Mine is the largest industrial enterprise ever constructed in Mongolia, employing 7,500 workers. Additionally, in 2015, another massive copper-gold mine, the Hamaaegtai Copper Gold Mine, was discovered in the South Gobi Province of Mongolia.

Classification of Flexible Waterproof Casings: According to standard drawings, they can be divided into national standard (GB) and non-standard. National standard waterproof casings refer to those that are produced in strict accordance with the material selection and production standards of the Ministry of Construction, such as 02S404 or 02S312. There are strict requirements for flange thickness, wing ring thickness, and pipe diameter with thickness. Non-standard refers to cases where the appearance and general structure comply with the standard drawings, but the material selection may not strictly adhere to the requirements for flange thickness, wing ring thickness, pipe diameter, and thickness. Strictly speaking, these are considered non-compliant products. However, to a certain extent, relaxing standards within reasonable limits may not significantly impact performance. Excessive relaxation of standards, though, can affect usability.
