Inner Mongolia Boda Shidi Chemical Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise primarily engaged in coal-based urea production. Established on September 26, 2009, with a registered capital of 1.777 billion RMB, the company is a Sino-foreign joint venture co-funded by Inner Mongolia Yuanxing Energy Co., Ltd. (71% stake) and LX from South Korea (29% stake).

Located in Nasunhua Industrial Park, Uxin Banner, Ordos City, the company strategically benefits from the “Golden Triangle” energy base formed by Ningdong, Yulin, and Ordos in Ningxia. It leverages advantages in raw materials such as “pithead coal prices” and high-calorific coal, showcasing significant cost advantages. The company excels in indicators such as production capacity utilization, product consumption per unit, and gross profit margin, leading the industry.

The project was designed and constructed to produce 500,000 tons of synthetic ammonia and 800,000 tons of urea annually, making it one of the largest single-unit production facilities in China. Construction began in October 2010, and production commenced on January 24, 2014, with a total actual investment of 5.126 billion RMB. The project incorporates advanced and mature technologies from domestic and international sources in processes and equipment for air separation, gasification, conversion, synthesis, and urea production, ensuring high automation, safety, and stability.

Currently, the company annually produces 580,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 1 million tons of urea, 50,000 tons of compound fertilizer, 11,000 tons of by-product sulfur, 30,000 tons of ammonium sulfate, and 60,000 tons of liquid carbon dioxide. Its various types of urea are well received both domestically and internationally, while its compound fertilizers, organic-inorganic compound fertilizers, and soil conditioners have gained recognition in the domestic market. With robust technological capabilities and a complete talent pool, the company holds 40 authorized patents and operates as an integrated enterprise for research, production, and sales of compound fertilizers and efficiency-enhancing urea.

In 2020, Boda Shidi was honored as a “National Green Factory,” “Leader in Water Efficiency,” “Advanced Unit in Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction in Nitrogen Fertilizer and Methanol Industries,” “Green Factory in Petroleum and Chemical Industries,” and “Advanced Enterprise Supporting Social Security and Employment.” It also received the second prize for technological progress from the Inner Mongolia Petroleum and Chemical Association. In 2021, it was recognized as a “Specialized ‘Little Giant’ Enterprise in Subdivided Fields” and a “Key Leading Enterprise in Industrialized Operation of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry in Ordos City,” earning accolades such as the “May 1st Labor Medal” from Ordos City.

Additionally, the company holds status as a high-tech enterprise and a foreign-invested encouraged category industrial enterprise under the Western Development policy, enjoying a preferential tax rate of 15% for corporate income tax.
