1. Introduction to Hainan Haihua Island:
Haihua Island is located in the northwest of Danzhou City, Hainan Province, in the Baimajing Coastal New City. It is situated in the bay area between the industrial corridors of western Hainan, adjacent to Paipu Port and Yangpu Port. Spanning from Paipu Town in the south to Baimajing Town in the north, it is approximately 600 meters away from the coastline, with a total span of about 6.8 kilometers. The planned land area covers a total of 7.824 square kilometers.
From 2009 to 2013, Haihua Island went through the research, planning, and approval stages. In 2020, the main projects of the 28 major business formats on Haihua Island were successively completed. On New Year’s Day in 2021, Haihua Island initiated trial operations, and by the end of the same year, all 28 major business formats on Haihua Island were open.
Haihua Island is an artificial island consisting of three independent offshore islands. The primary function of Island 1 is tourism and vacation, business exhibitions, hotel conferences, entertainment and leisure, catering, and marine sports and leisure, serving as an international-level large-scale comprehensive tourism service area. Islands 2 and 3 primarily function as residential areas.
On June 30, 2021, Haihua Island was awarded the ‘2020 Best Cultural and Tourism Project.’ In 2022, Haihua Island won two awards, the ‘Specialized Study Tourist Destination Award’ and the ‘Internet Celebrity Tourist Destination Award,’ for the years 2020-2021 in Hainan Province.
