Taier Adhesives (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. is a wholly foreign-owned enterprise and a subsidiary of the global multinational chemical group, AkzoNobel Asia Pacific Holdings Ltd., Singapore. The company was registered and established on January 31, 2002, and is located in Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province, a city known for its picturesque scenery and as an excellent national tourist destination. This project was a key investment for both Gaoyao City and Zhaoqing City, and even for Guangdong Province at the time. The company officially commenced production on November 28, 2003. It primarily engages in the production and sale of environmentally friendly, technologically advanced adhesives (including engineered wood resins, industrial resins, and specialty wood adhesives), impregnated paper (laminating paper), and formaldehyde solutions, and provides related technical consultation and services.

The company currently has 150 employees, covers an area of over 60 acres, and has accumulated investment amounts of more than RMB 160 million. Its annual output value exceeds RMB 350 million, with annual tax payments of more than RMB 25 million. The production area, including the formaldehyde workshop, resin workshop, warehouse, and finished product tank area, has already taken shape. The project is located within the Hanhe Fine Chemical Industrial Park in Jinli Town, Gaoyao District, covering an area of approximately 37,358.8 square meters. The construction unit will use methanol to prepare 50% formaldehyde solution (for self-use) and purchase raw materials such as phenol, caustic soda, urea, and melamine for the production of advanced environmentally friendly adhesive materials through processes like addition and polycondensation. The design production capacity is an annual output of 200,000 tons of environmentally friendly advanced adhesive materials (including 155,000 tons/year of phenolic resin and 45,000 tons/year of amino resin).

The total planned investment for the second phase of Taier Adhesives (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. is RMB 300 million. Once the project is completed and put into production, it will have an annual output of 200,000 tons of water-based environmentally friendly modified phenolic resin, urea-formaldehyde, and melamine resins, effectively doubling the company’s annual production volume and output value.
