1.Project Information for the Heating Transfer and Renovation of Wuhan Jianghan Oilfield：

According to the Hubei Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, in 2017, the province added over 18 million square meters of renewable energy building applications, with plans to add another 16 million square meters in 2018. The Jianghan Oilfield Geothermal Heating Renovation Project, the largest renewable energy building application project in Hubei Province, was explored in detail.

The Jianghan Oilfield employee residential area requires winter heating, with a total heating area of 5.4813 million square meters. To meet this demand, the oilfield maintains 20 heating boiler rooms with 44 boilers, most of which are coal-fired. During the 2016-2017 heating season, a total of 82,200 tons of raw coal and 4.06 million cubic meters of natural gas were consumed, resulting in significant pollutant emissions.

According to the project’s design team, the first phase of the renovation covers a heating area of 2.3566 million square meters, involving over 910 residential buildings and some public buildings, benefiting more than 22,000 households. This phase is expected to replace 37,700 tons of standard coal annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 94,300 tons, sulfur dioxide by 905 tons, and nitrogen oxides by 264 tons. Upon completion of the second phase, the reduction in emissions will be even greater.
