1.Introduction to Xiamen Metro Line 2 Project:
Xiamen Metro Line 2 spans a total length of 41.6 kilometers with 32 stations, and an average distance of 1.32 kilometers between each station. It is entirely underground. Stretching from Wuyuan Bay in the east to Tianzhu Mountain in the west, the line traverses through the Wuyuan Bay area, Guanyinshan area, Jiangtou area, Yundang Lake North area, Haicang New Town, and Maluanwan area. It serves as the east-west backbone line connecting Xiamen Island to Haicang District, establishing a rapid cross-sea connection between the two regions.
Xiamen Metro Line 2 is the first domestic metro project to extensively apply permanent magnet traction systems in its vehicles. The permanent magnet motors feature a fully sealed structure, offering low maintenance costs while delivering energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and high-power characteristics. The energy-saving target is expected to exceed 25%.
Adoption of the New Generation Non-Contact Logic Control Unit (LCU) Products:
The vehicles of Xiamen Metro Line 2 will utilize the new generation non-contact Logic Control Unit (LCU) products. The LCU system replaces hard-wired relay circuits in train control and implements corresponding logic control functions. Moreover, the non-contact control method of the LCU system effectively enhances the redundancy, safety, and reliability of the vehicles.
Xiamen Metro Line 2 consists of 51 sets of Type B metro vehicles, produced by CRRC Tangshan Company (26 sets) and CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Company (25 sets). The first trains for Line 2 were rolled out on December 4th and December 6th respectively, with pre-delivery inspections and tests including static and dynamic functional acceptance, emergency braking distance tests, and rain tests conducted prior to the rollout.
