1. Introduction to the Changan Ford Chongqing Plant:
Changan Ford Automobile Co., Ltd. (referred to as Changan Ford), was established on April 25, 2001, and is headquartered in the Liangjiang New Area of Chongqing. It was jointly funded by Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. and Ford Motor Company. Changan Ford currently has production bases in Chongqing, Hangzhou, and Harbin, with a total of seven factories, including five vehicle plants, one engine plant, and one transmission plant. Chongqing has become Ford Motor’s largest production base globally, second only to Detroit. Changan Ford’s SUV models include the Ford EVOS, Ford Explorer, Ford Edge, and Ford Territory, while sedan models include the Ford Taurus, Ford Mondeo, Ford Focus, and Ford Escort.
On November 19, 2021, the Ford EVOS made its stunning debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show, with five models launched, priced between 199,800 and 259,800 yuan. The new car adopts Ford’s new “Potential Energy Aesthetics” design language, with significant changes in appearance compared to the previous generation, emphasizing sportiness and design. The interior features a 1.1m large screen and the FNV2 electronic and electrical architecture.
