1.Introduction to the Nanjing LG Chemical Project:
LG Chemical (Nanjing) Information Electronic Materials Co., Ltd. is a large enterprise established by LG Group of South Korea in China on July 14, 2003. The company is located in the National Economic and Technological Development Zone, within the LG Industrial Park in Nanjing.
The company covers an area of 330,000 square meters, with a registered capital of 290 million US dollars and a total investment of 1.42 billion US dollars. It currently has 7,000 employees. The main activities include the production and research/development of secondary rechargeable batteries for smart electronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops, iPads; production of ternary positive materials for high-capacity/high-safety lithium batteries; and production of polarizing plates for TFT-LCD information electronic materials. There are currently 5 battery/electrode production and manufacturing R&D factories and 2 polarizing plate production and manufacturing factories. Currently, the large polarizing plate holds the first place in the global market share (29%).
