Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (Group) Co., Ltd. constructed the “Dehe” Salvage Crane Lay Barge project for Yantai Salvage Bureau. The Yantai 5000-ton lifting lay barge is one of the most challenging and technologically advanced marine engineering projects undertaken by Zhenhua Company globally. This project, funded by the State Council as a key investment project, is currently the largest investment in the salvage system by the Ministry of Transport. The vessel is equipped with advanced DP3 dynamic positioning, 10-point anchoring, and underwater 3000-meter salvage capabilities. It features a large marine engineering crane with a lifting capacity of 5000 tons for fixed lifting and 3500 tons for full revolving lifting at the stern. Additionally, the vessel is equipped with an S-type pipe laying system and interfaces for related underwater robotic systems.
It is suitable for underwater salvage operations such as rescuing and salvaging sunken ships and objects, capable of handling emergencies, conducting large-tonnage underwater object salvage, and rapid clearance. The vessel can also perform large-scale lifting and installation of marine engineering structures, such as platform modules, pipe racks, etc., at sea. It has functions for platform and diving operations.
This vessel serves as a deep-sea development and construction ship mainly for offshore deepwater lifting, pipe laying, and underwater installation. Its high redundancy DP3 dynamic positioning system and 10-point anchoring system enable it to meet the lifting and pipe laying requirements in deep and shallow water areas globally. The vessel can accommodate 398 people for simultaneous onboard living and operations. It holds dual ship classification from ABS/CCS, with a length of 199 meters, a width of 47.6 meters, and a depth of 15.0 meters, equipped with DP3 dynamic positioning system, 10-point anchoring system, and pipe laying system.
The “Dehe” is the first collaborative project between Zhenhua Heavy Industries and Yantai Salvage Bureau. During the construction process, both Zhenhua Heavy Industries and Yantai Salvage Bureau gave high attention, and the project teams overcame numerous difficulties and challenges.
